What is 128-bit encryption?
To enroll in Upromise or to log in to your Upromise account, you must use a web browser that supports 128-bit SSL (Secure Socket Layer) encryption. SSL is a method of securing data transmitted over the Internet. 128-bit SSL is the industry standard for financial transactions and is the highest-level of encryption generally available today.
How do I tell if my browser supports 128-bit encryption?
128-bit encryption is a standard feature of most current browsers, including Microsoft Internet Explorer 6+. To check the level of encryption supported by your browser, please follow the steps below:

Your site seems slow. Is there a problem?
The Upromise site has been developed to load and operate at optimal speed. This speed will vary depending on your specific type of connection to the Internet, as well as the amount of traffic coming to our site and generally on the Internet at that time. During high-traffic times, information moves more slowly. If you are experiencing difficulties, try visiting our site at a different time of the day.
I forgot my password. What should I do?
If you forgot your password, you have two options for accessing your account:
Option 1: Tell us your username, phone number, and information about a credit/debit card or grocery card that you registered with Upromise. Then provide the correct response to the security question that you entered during enrollment and you will have immediate access to your account. Upon accessing your account, you will be prompted to update your password and confirm your current email address.
Option 2: Tell us your username and registered email address. Then provide the correct response to the security question that you entered during enrollment and we will email a temporary password to your registered email address. Once you receive this email, return to the Upromise website and log in. After you log in with this temporary password, you will be prompted to create a new password.
What is a username?
Your username, which you have chosen yourself, is the name you enter each time you log in to your Upromise account. This, combined with your password, is your unique access code to your Upromise account.
I forgot my username. What should I do?
If you forgot your username, you can also try to log in to your account by entering the email address that you registered with Upromise in the "Username" field on the login screen. If you are still not able to login, you have two options for requesting your username:
Option 1: Tell us your phone number and information about a credit/debit card or grocery card that you registered with Upromise. We will then display your username on the screen.
Option 2: Tell us your registered email address and we will email your username to your registered email address. You will receive an email with your username within a few minutes. Once you receive this message, return to the Upromise website and log in.
I forgot my username and password. What should I do?
I'm having trouble with my username and password. I'm locked out - what should I do?
Your account will be locked whenever you exceed the maximum number of unsuccessful log in attempts. This policy is designed to protect your personal account from being accessed by any unauthorized party.
If you are locked out of your account, follow these steps to request a temporary password:you will need to reset your password.
